Donation Request: Osaka University Global Humanitarian Support Fund
In response to the crisis in Ukraine, Osaka University has decided to temporarily accept students and researchers facing difficulty in continuing their studies and research.
As an emergency measure, the university will accept students who have previously been enrolled at Osaka University, students who are currently enrolled at its partner university Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and researchers related to Osaka University, and offer support in education, research, and everyday life.
Osaka University has received a kind offer from many for a short period of time after the announcement of the above-mentioned support. The university has created a budget for providing immediate support; however, it’s necessary to secure further financial sources in order to expand support to more people.
Thus, in order to secure stable financial resources to accept and support these students and researchers, Osaka University has established the Osaka University Global Humanitarian Support Fund under the Osaka University Foundation for the Future.
This fund will be used not only for international students facing financial hardship due to the current crisis, but also for prompt humanitarian aid in similar crises in the chaotic world situation in the future.
Osaka University will continuously use donations to this fund for supporting students and researchers in need from the perspective of humanitarian assistance.
