Regarding Support for Students and Researchers of Ukraine

In response to the crisis in Ukraine, Osaka University has decided to accept students and researchers facing difficulty in continuing their studies and research. The university will offer educational and research opportunities including support in daily life.

As an emergency measure, the university will accept (1) students who have previously been enrolled at Osaka University, (2) students who are currently enrolled at partner university Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (regardless of their department or school), and (3) researchers associated with Osaka University (such as those who have obtained a degree from the university). To implement this initiative as quickly as possible, students will be accepted as non-regular students and researchers as Visiting Researchers.

Osaka University will offer financial support for housing and living expenses, travel to Japan, and tuition fees (including entrance examination and enrollment fees). Additionally, we plan to assign student tutors to students as needed for a smooth adjustment to life at Osaka University.

Details will follow this announcement and it is our hope that this initiative can support students and researchers facing hardship.
