Reservations for Machikaneyama Kaikan

  • Please peruse the Points of Caution listed below before making your reservation on the reservation system, Reserve Gate.
  • Starting Tuesday, April 16, 2024, credit cards may be used to pay for stays at Machikaneyama Kaikan (cards accepted: VISA, MasterCard, China UnionPay). Note that there is no way to pay in advance, so we ask that those staying pay at reception when checking in.

Eligibility for use

  1. OU faculty and staff and their families
  2. Visitors and their families who have a definite purpose
  3. Patients treated at Osaka University Hospital/Osaka University Dental Hospital and their families
  4. OU students and their families

Please provide the following when making a reservation:

  • Name of the person making the reservation
  • Telephone number
  • Availability for a phone call
  • Email address (PC or smart phone)
    • Make sure that the email address field is filled with the correct address. If you don’t receive a confirmation email, please contact us via the contact information listed below. (Make sure to also check your spam folder as it may have been filtered in error.)
  • Name(s) of the guest(s)
  • Address(es) of the guest(s)
  • Planned check-in time
  • Guest eligibility (select from the above Eligibility list)
  • Purpose and point of contact at OU

If more than one person is sharing a room...

If more than one person will share a room, please enter the name and relationship of a representative of the group when making a reservation. *Only family members may share a room.

When checking in, please provide the names and relationships of all guests who will be staying in the room. (When someone else checks in for you, they are asked to do the same.)

Reservations

  • If you wish to check in outside of reception hours (10:00 a.m. ~ 4:00 p.m.), please check in during reception hours and receive the key. (Someone else can check in for you.)
    • Note: Depending on room availability, early check-in may not be available.
  • You cannot stay at this facility during the New Year’s holiday. While it is possible to select these dates on the system itself, you will be unable to actually stay at this facility during this period.
  • You can stay up to two months from the check-in date until the check-out date. If you book a room for more than 2 months, you will receive a cancellation notification (your booking will become void).
  • Please make your reservation at least 5 business days in advance of your stay. If for some reason you wish to make a reservation 4 or fewer days before your stay begins, please contact us via the contact information listed below.
  • After making your reservation, please transfer your payment to the designated account listed in the email confirming your reservation at least 5 business days in advance of your stay. Starting April 16, 2024, individuals may pay by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, China UnionPay) when checking in.

Cancellations

Cancellations can be made on Reserve Gate until the day before your stay, but if you wish to cancel on the day of your stay, please contact us by phone.

Note that once we have received your payment, it cannot be refunded. For details regarding cancellations, please view our cancellation policy.
