Staff Facilities

Osaka University has "Machikane Kaikan" on the Toyonaka campus as a facility to be used for meetings, small seminars, parties, and accommodation for people outside the university.

Outline of the facilities

Machikaneyama Kaikan

  • 2-story, reinforced concrete structure with a floor space of 1,020 sq. m., reconstructed in 1995
  • The facility has: 1 dining room, 2 meeting rooms, 7 guest rooms, a lounge

*Wifi service is only available in guest rooms at the facility.

Use of the facilities at Machikaneyama Kaikan

Meeting rooms

Faculty and staff members can use the meeting rooms for the following purposes:

  1. Lectures and workshops regarding education and research at the university. (restricted to OU-related business)
  2. Individuals who have an appointment with OU and who have a referral from an OU faculty/staff member (restricted to OU-related business)

Guest rooms

As a general rule, the following individuals can use the guest rooms:

  1. University faculty/staff and persons accompanying them
  2. Individuals who have an appointment with OU and who have a referral from an OU faculty/staff member (restricted to OU-related business)

Dining room

  • Anyone may use the dining room.
