ANPIC (Safety Confirmation System)

Introduction

Osaka University has implemented a system to confirm the safety of its students, faculty, and staff in the case of earthquakes and other disasters. In order to reinforce the system, the university will implement the safety confirmation system ANPIC in December of 2023.

The university will immediately gather information to confirm the safety of its members to cope with disasters. For that purpose, please be sure to register your personal email address according to the instructions noted below.

Who must register for the ANPIC

  • Regular and non-regular students who have an OU Personal ID
  • Full-time and part-time faculty and staff who are employed by OU and have an OU Personal ID

How to report your safety

When an earthquake with "seismic intensity 5 upper" or stronger occurs in Osaka Prefecture, ANPIC will send a safety confirmation email to registered email addresses. In the case that an earthquake of the same level occurs within neighboring prefectures, the university will manually send an email requesting a safety report via ANPIC at the university’s discretion.

If you receive such an email, click on the URL in the email to report your safety.

These emails will be sent using the domain name of “ecc.jp” as shown below, but they are not spam.

Sender: 大阪大学安全衛生管理部 [Department for the Administration of Safety and Health, Osaka University] no-reply@jecc.jp

If you have set up your device to receive notifications via the ANPIC app and LINE, you can also send safety reports using LINE. For setup procedures, refer to Initial Setup Procedure and ANPIC App and LINE noted below.

In the case of an earthquake with a seismic intensity of 5 upper or stronger within Osaka Prefecture, even if you do not receive an email from ANPIC, be sure to login to ANPIC and make a safety report via the safety report menu.
