IBBP: Interuniversity Bio-Backup Project for Basic Biology
Learning from the Great East Japan Earthquake that one must prepare for the unexpected and under the leadership of the following: National Institutes of Natural Sciences, Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, The University of Tokyo, Nagoya University, Kyoto University, Osaka University, and Kyushu University --University Satellite Bases-- the decision has been made to implement backing up biological genetic resources through the establishment of the Interuniversity Bio-Backup Project for Basic Biology (IBBP) this academic year.
