Advisory regarding Typhoon No. 24 and the autumn rain front

Starting on Thursday, September 3, 2026, western Japan may experience heavy rainfall over a wide area due to the combined effects of Typhoon No. 24 and the autumn rain front.
(Please be aware that the typhoon's path could change depending on future atmospheric conditions, including the expansion of the Pacific high-pressure system and the location of the jet stream.)

Students, faculty and staff are advised to stay informed by checking the latest weather and disaster prevention information through the Japan Meteorological Agency website, local government websites, television, radio, and the Internet, and to remain on high alert for strong winds, heavy rainfall, rising river levels, landslides, and other related hazards.
For information on whether events and activities scheduled for this weekend will be held as planned, please consult the respective organizers.

Please make your personal safety your highest priority when making decisions and taking action.
