🔴 Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai x The University of Osaka! 🔵President Atsushi Kumanogoh and others visited the Signature Pavilion "Future of Life" (Ishiguro Pavilion)
On April 19, President Atsushi Kumanogoh and a total of 25 UOsaka representatives, including Senior Executive Vice Presidents and Executive Vice Presidents, visited the Signature Pavilion "Future of Life" at the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.
This Signature Pavilion, "Future of Life," is produced by Professor Hiroshi ISHIGURO, a leading expert in robotics and Professor Emeritus of the Graduate School of Engineering Science.
Some of the comments by the Senior Executive Vice Presidents, Executive Vice Presidents, and faculty staff members who visited the pavilion are as follows:
“The androids as a technology are of high interest, but the exhibit also makes us reflect on what it means to be human and what human life is about, with wistful yet moving stories of everyday life.”
“We can make diverse choices about how to live our lives, so I hope that the exhibit inspires people to think about and design our own future.”

The Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai opened on April 13. Osaka University has long promoted education and research that addresses "life" and aims to contribute to solving social issues. In addition to exhibits and cooperation with exhibits that have already been widely featured in the media, such as cardiac muscle sheets, cultured meat, and the Future Human Washing Machine, we have also installed dispensers for the free supply of sanitary products, held a Hazaithon exhibit, and promoted the “Inochi Declaration” in response to the theme of the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, "Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” UOsaka researchers and students, such as those of the Expo 2025 Student Committee, and UOsaka startups are involved in many of the cutting-edge research exhibits and events, making this a very interesting, must-see event.
