Student Emergency Aid for Continuance of Studies

OU is now accepting Third round of applications except those who have already selected as eligible recipients in January or February.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) established Student Emergency Aid for Continuance of Studies for students who may have difficulty in continuing their studies at university due to economic reasons caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, such as a decrease in household income or part-time income.

This is a cash handout of 100,000 yen intended for students living independently and who are paying their own tuition fees through part-time income.

[IMPORTANT] The following are not eligible to apply:

・Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Students

・Non-regular students (exchange students, research students, etc.)

・Students who were selected in the first or second round of application

・Students who received inquiry about the second round of application*
