Atmosphere and Planetary Health Co-Creation Forum: Sustainability Cities and Health II
Event Notice:(November 26, 2024)
Osaka University ASEAN Campus SDGs Co-Creation Forum "Atmosphere and Planetary Health Co-Creation Forum: Sustainability Cities and Health II – Research and Practice in Eco-Friendly Residential Environment Design for Health"
In order to control climate change caused by global warming, efforts to achieve zero carbon by 2050 are being seriously considered. In addition, the reduction of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) such as methane, tropospheric ozone, black carbon, and sulfates, which have adverse health effects, is necessary to mitigate global warming. Furthermore, since the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the microbial and viral aspects of indoor environments.
This forum aims to promote awareness and active engagement in the research and practice of designing eco-friendly residential environments that support health. Distinguished speakers, including Eiichi Tamiya and Tomohiro Kobayashi from Osaka University, Kenichi Azuma from Kinki University, and representatives from various companies, will present their cutting-edge cases and trends. The goal is to spread awareness and energize efforts in this field.
