Overview

The UOsaka ASEAN Campus SDGs Co-Creation Forum is a platform for various stakeholders who aim to solve regional and global issues that ASEAN countries face, led by all departments, institutes, and centers of UOsaka as well as institutions participating in ASEAN Campuses. These stakeholders include university research institutions, central and local governments of ASEAN countries and Japan, companies, non-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations, residents, and students who will become the next generation of global leaders.

With the UOsaka ASEAN Campuses at its foundation, the SDGs Co-Creation Forum will promote international collaboration between industry, government, and academia. The forum will find solutions to societal issues by matching entities from different sectors and gaining the participation of even more stakeholders.

Through educational programs, the SDGs Co-Creation Forum will foster individuals who will serve as international bridges between Japan, ASEAN countries, industry, government, academia, the community, and various academic disciplines. This will build a network to support sustainable societies in ASEAN countries, the relationship between Japan and the ASEAN region, and the world toward achieving the SDGs.

Activities

The SDGs Co-Creation Forum will provide opportunities for in-depth discussions of specific research and development issues, information exchange sessions on technologies and systems, seminars to gain the participation of more stakeholders, and workshops for them to exchange opinions. There will also be symposiums to share the results of research outcomes and social implementation, as well as visions for the future. These initiatives will expand the network for co-creation toward achieving the SDGs and implementing the outcomes in society.

Diverse Stakeholders
