She participated in the OUICP-S program “OUICP-S Career Advance English Program in Philippines” in March 2025.
Q1: What made you want to participate in this program?
I found this program as I was thinking about going abroad for my first spring holidays after quitting my extracurricular activity. I decided to participate because it was held during the spring holidays, so I was able to participate without missing my university lectures, and the cost was also relatively reasonable.
Q2. What did you learn through OUICP-S? Have you noticed any changes in yourself compared to before studying abroad?
I feel that it has become easier for me to speak in English, as I was constantly exposed to English every day; in addition to taking classes in English, I interacted with students there, for instance, going out for meals with them after school. One of the best things about taking part in this program is that I was able to establish friendships overseas, and I still stay in touch with them on social networking sites even after returning to Japan.
Q3. What influence have your experiences in this program had on your future career?
Thanks to this program, which gave me so many valuable experiences, I am now more interested in studying overseas. I hope to take part in other interesting overseas programs in the future.
Q4. Looking back on your study abroad experience, what advice would you give to students considering studying abroad?
It was my very first time studying abroad, so I was very nervous before leaving, but now I am truly glad that I took part. If you are even slightly interested, perhaps you can go and talk to your teachers or people who have experience studying abroad, rather than talking yourself into giving up - this will be your first step forward.
