Work is conducted at one of the following locations:

  • Suita Campus (5-1 Mihogaoka, Ibaraki, Osaka)
  • Toyonaka Campus (1-32 Machikaneyama, Toyonaka, Osaka)
  • Minoh Campus (3-5-10 Semba Higashi, Minoh, Osaka)

Responsibilities

Promotion of measures for digital transformation, operation and maintenance of various information systems (campus networks, super computers, Campus-wide IT Authentication Platform, Virtual Server Platform, Education Computer System), planning of information security measures, user support, and information systems

Job duties also include general administrative work related to university management.

Qualifications

Individuals must be born on or after April 2, 1991 (including those who will graduate in the 2024-25 academic year)

Provisions for Disqualification

Individuals who fall under the following cannot take the examination.

  • Individuals who are serving a prison sentence, individuals on probation, and individuals who are serving any other sentence
  • Individuals who have formed or belong to a political party or other organization that advocates subversion of the Constitution of Japan and/or any government bodies established therein
  • Individuals who do not hold a status of residence in Japan that allows for unrestricted work activity (This does not include individuals who are able to acquire a status of residence that allows them to work at Osaka University from the starting date.)

Probationary Period

Employment Terms

8 hours/day, 5 days/week (not including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays)
Working Hours: 8:30~17:15
Break Time: 12:15~13:00
(However, employees may be required to work overtime and on holidays.)

Salary and Benefits

Base salary will be decided based on personal history:

Individuals hired immediately after obtaining their bachelor’s degree
196,200 yen (base salary) + 23,544 yen (regional allowance) = 219,744 yen

Individuals hired immediately after obtaining their master’s degree or individuals with ~2 years work experience after obtaining their bachelor’s degree
208,000 yen (base salary) + 24,960 yen (regional allowance) = 232,960 yen

Allowances: commuting, housing, family, overtime
Bonuses: terminal allowance, performance bonus (June, December)
Raises: Generally, raises are given on January 1 based on performance during the previous year.
*Salaries, allowances, bonuses, and raises are determined according to the “Salary Regulations for National University Corporation Osaka University Staff.”

Insurance

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology Mutual Aid Association, Employment Insurance, Workmen’s Accident Compensation

Selection Process

After document screening, a written examination and individual interviews will be carried out.

The first written examination* will be held in early June 2024.

Results of document screening will be sent to the email address you registered in your application.
If you do not receive any correspondence regarding these results by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2024, please contact the university via the contact address listed below.

*The written examination will consist of multiple choice and essay questions of a level similar to the Information Technology Passport Examination.
