Degree Awarding Policy (Diploma Policy)
A Degree Awarding Policy (Diploma Policy) is the basic requirements for determining whether a degree is conferred or not. It shows the requirements for the degree and the expected learning outcomes. Based on Diploma Policies for undergraduate and graduate courses of the University of Osaka as a whole, the Diploma Policies of schools and graduate schools have been defined as noted in the below.
Degree Awarding Policy (Diploma Policy) of the University of Osaka
■ Undergraduate Program
To nurture individuals with the qualities set forth in its educational objectives, the University of Osaka confers degrees on individuals who have been enrolled at their undergraduate school/faculty for the specified period of study; acquired knowledge and skills in their respective specialties required by their school/faculty along with broad-based knowledge and critical thinking, an international mindset, and design prowess; earned all the credits required for graduation; and passed the examination stipulated in the Undergraduate School Regulations.
