Enrollment and Tuition Fee Support for students whose households were affected by disasters designated as disaster of extreme severity, including the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake
We extend our sympathies to all those who have been affected by disasters.
We will accept applications from students whose household supporters were affected by disasters designated as disaster of extreme severity, including the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake for the following support measures for AY 2026:
- Deferred payment of the tuition fee (first semester)
- Enrollment fee exemption and/or deferred payment (for October 2026 entrants)
- Tuition fee exemption, deferred payment, or payment by installments (second semester)
Please read the application guidelines carefully and submit your application by the deadline. The University will review applications based on the documents submitted, and support will be provided to approved applicants.
Only the Japanese version of the application guidelines is available. If you have any questions or need assistance understanding the guidelines, please contact the Suita Student Center.
If you were affected by a major disaster other than the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, please replace the term "2026 Kumamoto Earthquake" appearing in the Application guidelines, Statement of Reasons, and the KOAN questionnaire with "the applicable major disaster".
If you wish to apply for an enrollment fee exemption and/or deferred payment for October 2026 admission, and/or for a tuition fee exemption, deferred payment, or payment by installments for the second semester of AY 2026, please apply under the Exemption Program at UOsaka (Second Semester, AY 2026).
Please note that fee exemptions are not guaranteed and are subject to budget availability.
