Substance abuse -- not a joking matter
Attention, all students...
In recent years, drug abuse, including the misuse of narcotics, stimulants, and cannabis, has become a serious social issue.
The Japanese government has strengthened its efforts to prevent and eliminate such substance abuse through public awareness campaigns, educational activities, and law enforcement.
The use of drugs can seriously harm both the mind and body and may ultimately destroy one's character and judgment. Drug use can also have significant consequences for a student's status at UOsaka.
Drugs are illegal not only when used, abused, sold, or purchased, but also when just possessed. Do not be deceived by tempting offers, casual mindset, or misinformation. It is important to have the strength and determination to say “No” and reject drugs outright.
Our students have been regularly reminded of the dangers of drug abuse through notices, posters, and other educational campaigns. Once again, please act with good judgment, bearing in mind your role and responsibilities as an UOsaka student.
Don't fool yourself -- there's no such thing as "just once."
