The University of Osaka Co-Creation Day @EXPOCITY Held Under the Theme “Bringing Minds Together, Shaping the Future”

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, UOsaka held the University of Osaka Co-Creation Day @EXPOCITY (link in Japanese only), an event where visitors could explore and enjoy the excitement of science, research, and scholarship, at LaLaport EXPOCITY in Suita, Osaka Prefecture.
This year again, the event welcomed approximately 4,500 visitors of all ages, from children to adults.

This marks the seventh Co-Creation Day held under the agreement between UOsaka and Mitsui Fudosan Co. Ltd., since its launch in 2018. The theme for this year was “Bringing Minds Together, Shaping the Future.” Across 20 booths set up at Hikari no Hiroba on the first floor, EXPOCITY Lab on the third floor, and EXPOMARKET, all located within LaLaport EXPOCITY, visitors were introduced to UOsaka's diverse research achievements, its co-creation initiatives aimed at identifying and addressing societal challenges, and visions of the future society that these efforts seek to realize. Dr. Wani also joined the event again this year, delighting many visitors and adding to the excitement of the event.
As a hub for co-creation, the venue remained vibrant from opening to closing, with lively interactions and exchanges taking place throughout the event. The event concluded with overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported the event and to all those who joined us.

We were also pleased to welcome members of TRIDENTS, UOsaka’s American football team, to the event 🏈
