Conferment Ceremony Held for Medal of Honor with Dark Blue Ribbon

Mikuni Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Ms. KAJI Yumiko, Ms. NISHIO Yukiko, and Medical Corporation Hojukai received Medals of Honor with a Dark Blue Ribbon* from the Japanese government for their generous financial contributions to the University of Osaka.

The conferment ceremony was held at the University of Osaka on September 30, 2026, with the attendance of President KUMANOGOH Atsushi, Senior Executive Vice President FUJIO Yasushi, Director of the University of Osaka Hospital SAKATA Yasushi, Dean of Graduate School of Dentistry NAKANO Kazuhiko, and Associate Professor ARAKI Teppei at SANKEN. President KUMANOGOH conferred the medals on the donors, expressing his gratitude for their contributions.
Their donations were used for “The University of Osaka Hospital Redevelopment Fund”, “Fund to Support President KUMANOGOH's Initiatives”, “Crowdfunding for the University of Osaka Foundation for the Future —Aiming to make a practical contribution to support efforts in disaster-affected areas”, and “School/Graduate School of Dentistry Education and Research Program.”

At the social gathering following the ceremony, President KUMANOGOH once again expressed his gratitude to the donors for their donations, while the donors spoke about the reasons for their donations and expectations for the development of education, research, and medical science of UOsaka in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

The Medal of Honor with Dark Blue Ribbon is awarded to individuals who have made exceptionally generous financial contributions for the good of the public.
