UOsaka became the overall winner at the 65th Seven Universities Meet held in 2026.

Comments from President KUMANOGOH Atsushi

I am truly pleased that we have captured the overall championship at the Seven Universities Meet for the first time since 2011. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to all the athletes, the members of the University of Osaka Sports Union who were responsible for the planning and operation of the event, the Seven Universities Meet Organizing Committee, and every student who supported the competition in their own way, whether as a student manager, a member of the cheering squad, or behind the scenes.

This outstanding result was earned through the accumulation of unwavering daily efforts and the strong sense of camaraderie among teammates. Not only did the athletes excel in competition, but their determination to keep striving toward their goals while inspiring one another is something of which UOsaka can be immensely proud.

We will host the Seven Universities Meet next year. This year's overall championship will undoubtedly serve as a major stepping stone toward the success of that event. I look forward not only to seeing even greater achievements in competition, but also to seeing our students showcase the vitality and warm hospitality for which UOsaka is known, creating a memorable tournament for students gathering from across the country.

Once again, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on this remarkable achievement, and I sincerely wish you continued success in all your future endeavors.

To all the athletes and everyone who contributed to the Seven Universities Meet in Kyushu, thank you for your hard work and dedication. It is a great pleasure to celebrate our overall victory, our first since the 50th tournament and the first in 15 editions. Next year, the University of Osaka will proudly host the Seven Universities Meet.
