[Important Notice] Beware of suspicious quotation request emails impersonating members of the University of Osaka

We have recently discovered that fraudulent emails impersonating members of the University of Osaka have been sent to multiple companies and organizations requesting quotations.

These emails were not sent by UOsaka. The actual sender email addresses (rather than those shown in the signature block) use domains that differ from our official domain. Furthermore, the telephone numbers provided in the signature block belong to companies that are not affiliated with us. The requests described in these emails, including references to “our company’s project,” are entirely unrelated to UOsaka. We urge all recipients to exercise caution and refrain from responding to such emails.

Accordingly, if you receive a suspicious email, we ask that you take the following measures to avoid the risk of malware infection, unauthorized access, and other security threats.

• Always verify the sender’s email address.
• Do not open any attachments or click on any links contained in the email unless their legitimacy has been confirmed.
• Do not reply to the email; instead, delete it immediately.

If you have any doubts about the contents of an email or need to verify its authenticity, please do not reply to the email.
