Inochi Forum/SSI Symposium “Toward the Realization of an Economy and Management for the Common Good through Knowledge Creation, the Empathetic Economy, and Mutual‑Support Capitalism” Held

On March 30, 2026, the Inochi Forum/the University of Osaka Social Solution Initiative (SSI) held a symposium titled “Toward the Realization of an Economy and Management for the Common Good through Knowledge Creation, the Empathetic Economy, and Mutual‑Support Capitalism” at Ito Hall, Ito International Academic Research Center, The University of Tokyo. The symposium was conducted under the leadership of the UOsaka Social Solution Initiative (SSI).

A total of 241 participants joined the event, including 170 in person and 71 online, representing diverse sectors such as academia, industry, government, and the public.
Following remarks including the one by Specially Appointed Professor (Full Time) DOUME Takuo of UOsaka‘s Social Solution Initiative (SSI), three sessions and a panel discussion were held on the themes of Knowledge‑Creating Management (SECI), the Empathetic Economy, and Mutual‑Support Capitalism. The discussions highlighted key perspectives for the social implementation of an economy and management for the common good driven by “Knowledge Creation × Empathy × Mutual Support.”

Going forward, SSI will further deepen its collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Inochi Forum. Centered on knowledge creation grounded in dialogue and co‑creation, SSI will continue to advance research, human resource development, and co‑creation projects that support the implementation of the empathetic economy, and mutual‑support capitalism.
