One Awardee from the University of the 16th JSPS Ikushi Prize (FY 2025)
On Thursday January 29, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) announced the 16th JSPS Ikushi Prize, which will be awarded to the following individual from the University of Osaka.
The JSPS Ikushi Prize was established in 2010 with the aim of honoring outstanding doctoral students expected to contribute to the development of academic research in Japan in the future, thereby motivating them to study and conduct research, as well as fostering young researchers.
This year, 19 students from across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences were awarded.
The awarding ceremony will be held around March at the Japan Academy (Tokyo).

The University of Osaka is working to strengthen support for young researchers. As part of this, we are supporting doctoral students aiming for the JSPS Ikushi Prize.
