This special commemorative edition celebrates Distinguished Honorary Professor Shimon Sakaguchi ’s Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, highlighting his remarkable journey as a pioneering immunologist. The issue also features Specially Appointed Professor Naganari Ohkura, who is advancing the development of new medicines based on regulatory T cells (Treg) discovered by Professor Sakaguchi, and Professor James Wing, who is expanding this research into innovative applications for infectious diseases.
