2025 Leaders Assembly held

On December 13 (Sat.), the Sports Union held a Leaders Assembly at the UOsaka Toyonaka Campus.

The Leaders Assembly is held once a year by the Sports Union, bringing together leaders (captains, managers, etc.) from officially recognized sports organizations in order to discuss how to manage the clubs better, strengthen connections between organizations, and foster a sense of unity.

The morning session began at the University of Osaka Hall with a greeting from the Chair of the Sports Union, followed by lectures by two speakers on topics related to the management of sports organizations.

First, Professor Yoshiki Mikami, Head of UOsaka's Harassment Counseling Office, spoke about measures to prevent harassment in club activities, focusing on what the leaders should keep in mind.

After that, the participants moved to a meeting room, where they divided into groups by challenges they faced based on the results of a pre-questionnaire. They shared examples of problem solving, exchanged opinions, and held discussions on how to further boost extracurricular activities.

Lastly, the award ceremony for the Five Awards of the Sports Union was held in the Cafeteria La Foret, followed by a social gathering in the celebratory atmosphere.
The social gathering started with a greeting and toast from Senior Executive Vice President Toshihiro Tanaka, in charge of Student Support, followed by words of encouragement for the students and the sports organizations to continue better initiatives, along with Chair Yukio Kawahara of the Student Life Committee.
The participating organizations expressed their aspirations for the next academic year and their determination to prepare to recruit new members, and the event concluded with a closing address from the Chair.
