Professor Keisuke FUJII and Specially Appointed Associate Professor (Full-time) Yap Yung Szen at the University of Osaka Selected for the Quantum 100 (100 Quantum Professionals)
Professor Keisuke FUJII, Deputy Director of the Center for Quantum Information and Quantum Biology, and Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering Science, and Specially Appointed Associate Professor (Full-time) Yap Yung Szen have been selected for inclusion in the Quantum 100 (100 quantum professionals) for the 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ), proclaimed by the United Nations and led by UNESCO.
The Quantum 100 is a major global initiative that honors the diverse individuals supporting quantum science and technology. Spanning researchers and policymakers, educators and entrepreneurs, as well as students and communicators, 100 quantum professionals from around the world are reviewed and selected by members of the IYQ Steering Committee. On this occasion, Deputy Director Keisuke FUJII (Professor) and Specially Appointed Associate Professor Yap Yung Szen were selected in recognition of the internationally acclaimed, multifaceted presence they have established across research, education, and industry in the field of quantum science and technology.
Profiles of the selected individuals—including their names, photos, and details of their achievements and contributions—are featured in an online gallery on the IYQ website. Additionally, they will be highlighted at the IYQ Closing Ceremony scheduled for February 2026 in Ghana.
