Nominations for the 20th Kondo Prize

The University of Osaka Kondo Prize was established in 2007 through the donations of the parents of KONDO Hiroshi, a student whose life was cut tragically short by a traffic accident in April 1993.

The prize, which became an international award in 2018, has been awarded to motivate young researchers and develop research in the field of laser engineering by recognizing outstanding technological contributions and achievements of young researchers in the field, including those in laser fusion, which Hiroshi had aimed to pursue.

We are currently accepting nominations for the 20th Kondo Prize, so we hope you will apply.
