The 26th Presidential Awards for Excellence in Extracurricular Activities

The award ceremony for the 26th Presidential Awards for Excellence in Extracurricular Activities was held on November 21, 2025.
Presidential Awards for Excellence in Extracurricular Activities were established to recognize outstanding extracurricular activities and invigorate and improve student extracurricular activity participation in 2000.
From 15 nominations, including 4 from sports-oriented clubs and 11 from other groups and individuals, the following individuals received the 26th Presidential Awards for Excellence in Extracurricular Activities.

Karate Club
・3rd place, Men’s Kumite Division 2, 65th All Kansai University Karate Championships (promoted to Division 1)
・2nd place, Women’s Kumite & Men’s Kumite, National and Public University Karate Championship

Faculty of Medicine Rubber Ball Baseball Club
・1st place, 2024 Autumn Kansai Medical, Dental, and Pharmaceutical League Championship (Champion among all 10 universities in the Kansai Medical, Dental, and Pharmaceutical Division 1 League)
・Participation in the 2024 Autumn Kansai Regional University Rubber Ball Baseball Tournament (Tournament featuring champions from each of the 7 Kansai regional leagues)

Rowing Club
・8th place in Women's Pair, 102nd All Japan Rowing Championships
・6th place in Women's Double Sculls, 8th place in Women's Pairs, 51st All-Japan University Rowing Championships

Eiji Mizoguchi (4th Year, School of Letters)
・Selected for the Excellence Award (2nd Place) in the TBS NEXT WRITERS CHALLENGE 2024 (Drama Script Competition) from 855 entries
The winning work was published in the June 2025 issue of Monthly Drama.

HUR WOOHYEOK (Graduated March 2025, School of Human Sciences)
・2nd place in Men's Senior 1500m, 4th place in Men's Senior 1000m, 79th National Sports Festival Winter Tournament, Speed Skating Competition
・2nd place in 1000m, 6th place in 500m, 44th Japan Student Speed Skating Distance Championships

Minami Matsushima (Graduated March 2025, School of Human Sciences)
・2025 World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) (World Championship) (Final Judge)
