6 UOsaka Researchers Selected for Clarivate's "Highly Cited Researchers 2025"
6 researchers from the University of Osaka were selected for Clarivate Analytics’ “Highly Cited Researchers 2025” list.
The Highly Cited Researchers program recognizes researchers who have published a certain number of “highly cited papers”—those in the top 1% of citations among papers published over the past 11 years—and selects researchers with significant and broad influence in their respective fields.
In 2025, 7,131 researchers were selected across 22 fields. The researchers selected from the University of Osaka are listed below.
Among them, Distinguished Honorary Professor Shimon Sakaguchi, this year's Nobel Prize laureate in Physiology or Medicine, has been selected for 12 consecutive years since the award's inception in 2014, reflecting the high regard for his research achievements in the field of immunology.
