Some 5,000 Participants Experience Future Society with Cutting-Edge Research at the University of Osaka Co-Creation Day @EXPOCITY: “Stimulate your five senses and experience the unknown!”
On October 18, 2025, "The University of Osaka Co-Creation Day @ EXPOCITY" was held at LaLaport EXPOCITY in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture.
This year, a total of approximately 5,000 visitors of all ages joined us to learn together, experiencing the fun of science and research.
This marks the 6th Co-Creation Day held under the agreement between UOsaka and Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., which began in 2018.
The theme for this year's Co-Creation Day was “Stimulate your five senses and experience the unknown!” with booths set up at Hikari Plaza on the first floor and EXPOCITY Lab on the third floor, as well as at EXPOMARKET. Each of the 19 booths introduced the latest research at the University of Osaka, our endeavors in co-creation, and the future society we here at UOsaka are working to create. This year, our university's official mascot, "Dr. Wani," also made an appearance! He interacted with many visitors, adding to the lively atmosphere.
The venue, serving as a space for co-creation, was bustling with quite a few visitors coming to the booths non-stop from morning until evening. Many of them expressed their satisfaction with the event, ending the day on a positive note.
We’d like to give our heartfelt thanks to those who helped make this event possible as well as to those who took the time to join us.
