2025 UOsaka Thank YOU Gathering held

The University of Osaka held a Thank YOU Gathering at Hotel Hankyu International on October 17 to show its appreciation to donors who had made major contributions to the University of Osaka Foundation for the Future. Approximately 160 individuals attended the gathering, which included a report session and a social hour. The report session featured the following:

• Campus updates - President KUMANOGOH Atsushi
• Introduction to activities at the University of Osaka Foundation for the Future – Senior Executive Vice President FUJIO Yasushi
• Case studies in the crowdfunding project “Accompanying Those Living with Dementia: Bringing Smiles to Families and the Challenged Individuals” – Associate Professor YAMAKAWA Miyae (Graduate School of Medicine)
• Lecture: “World-Leading Radiation Therapy at the University of Osaka” – Professor MURAKAMI Shumei (Senior Advisor to the President/Graduate School of Dentistry)

The social hour that followed the report session featured poster presentations by 4 groups of students (School of Letters, Law, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Engineering) selected as representatives of each school for the Undergraduate Research Support Project (General Purpose Fund) sponsored by the Foundation for the Future, where attendees enthusiastically asked questions. Following this, a performance by the University of Osaka Symphony Orchestra further strengthened bonds between donors and the University of Osaka through the exchange of opinions among attendees.
