The University of Osaka and Osaka Kyoiku University Sign Agreement on Educational Partnership— Advancing Collaboration in Educational Activities at Both Universities and Affiliated High Schools —

On July 17, 2025, the University of Osaka and Osaka Kyoiku University (OKU) signed an agreement on educational partnership with a view to further promoting mutual exchange and educational activities.

Previously, Osaka University and OKU High Schools signed a partnership agreement in 2015 to explore high school-university liaison activities. Since then, we have collaborated on campus visits, lectures, academic writing courses, and various other activities, including the WWL (World Wide Learning) Consortium Building Support Project (2020-2023), for which Osaka Kyoiku University was designated as a hub institution. Expanding on these earlier collaborative endeavors, this new agreement on educational partnership with Osaka Kyoiku University has now been concluded.

With this agreement in place, the University of Osaka and OKU intend to advance discussions on collaborative projects.

In particular, we will explore various issues of the two universities and promote a wide range of educational collaborations, such as supporting inquiry-based learning at OKU high schools, providing opportunities to experience university education and research aiming to enhance their learning motivation and career choices, and hosting trainee schoolteachers in our teacher training programs at the University of Osaka.
