The University of Osaka and the Organization for Advanced Healthcare Innovation sign comprehensive collaboration agreement

On August 28 (Thursday), 2025, the University of Osaka and the Organization for Advanced Healthcare Innovation signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement aimed at working together to promote advanced healthcare by leveraging the characteristics and strengths of both organizations. Through this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate in research and development and social implementation aimed at realizing advanced healthcare, developing human resources who will lead advanced healthcare field and personnel interaction, support for startups and promotion of entrepreneurial education, and promotion of interdisciplinary research and international collaboration.

At the signing ceremony, held at the Qrossover Lounge Yume on the second floor of Nakanoshima Qross, President Atsushi Kumanogoh of the University of Osaka and Chairman Yoshiki Sawa of the Organization for Advanced Healthcare Innovation explained the background and significance of the collaboration and signed the agreement. Afterwards, there was an active Q & A session with reporters, and President Kumanogoh spoke about the role of UOsaka in creating new scientific knowledge, and Chairman Sawa spoke about the role of the Organization for Advanced Healthcare Innovation in connecting science to the market and conducting social implementation. They also talked about the advantage of Kansai region having a lot of thriving bioresearch scenes.

With the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, drawing the world's attention to Osaka, Kansai region and the life science industry, the signing ceremony was significant in conveying the aim to inherit Tekijuku's spirit of materialism and open discussion, and to build a platform where diverse players from industry, academia and medicine can engage in two-way discussions and see the project through to verification and implementation.
