Conferment Ceremony Held for Medal of Honor with Dark Blue Ribbon
Mr. NAKASHIMA Atsumi, Mr. YAMAJI Tsutomu, Ms. YASUDA Chihoko, and Yoshiizumi Industry Corporation received Medals of Honor with a Dark Blue Ribbon* from the Japanese government for their generous financial contributions to the University of Osaka.
The conferment ceremony was held at the University of Osaka on July 11, 2025, with the attendance of President KUMANOGOH Atsushi, Senior Executive Vice President FUJIO Yasushi, Prof. SAKATA Yasushi (Vice Director of the University of Osaka Hospital), and Prof. USHIO Tomoo (UOsaka Rowing Club Coach). President Kumanogoh conferred the medals on the donors, expressing his gratitude for their contributions.
Their donations were used for the renovation work of the Integrated Medical Care Building at the University of Osaka Hospital and support for extracurricular activities, etc.
At the social gathering following the ceremony, President Kumanogoh once again expressed his gratitude to the donors for their donations, and the donors shared their thoughts on the University of Osaka. The conversation also touched on memories of their student days, anecdotes about their teachers, and even recent progress in sports. The conversation was held in a friendly atmosphere throughout.

The Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon is awarded to individuals who have made exceptionally generous financial contributions for the good of the public. It is conferred when the occasion arises, after the Decoration Bureau of the Cabinet Office has screened the candidates recommended by relevant ministries.
