The 43rd UOsaka Summer Festival Held
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the 43rd UOsaka Summer Festival was held on the Minoh Campus with the theme of "Connecting People and Local Communities." Blessed with favorable weather, the festival attracted approximately 11,000 visitors, significantly exceeding the previous year’s turnout. We sincerely appreciate your coming to join us there.
A ger (traditional Mongolian tent) set up in the square for this occasion by the Mongolian major of the School of Foreign Studies & a pony entertaining the children
The third-floor UOsaka Plaza filled with a variety of exotic scents, with diverse stalls offering international cuisines
The stage captivating many visitors with various events, including the "Ethnic Costume Contest"
Students from the School of Foreign Studies serving regional dishes of their major languages, with Executive Vice President Keiko Takemura (former member of the Swahili major of the School of Foreign Studies)
Various exhibitions and hands-on events held inside the building
Thanks to the kind efforts of the Osaka Senba Fashion Co-Operative Association this year again, a pedestrian paradise was implemented on the north side road of the campus, with stalls set up by related organizations, making it an event that engaged the local community in our summer festival. Minoh City Mayor Ryo Harada was also in attendance, providing a valuable opportunity to deepen ties with the local community.
We hope to continue this traditional festival, where the university and the local community come together to enjoy the world, for many more years to come.
