UOsaka Students Participated in the “4th Multi-Sector Dialogue on Mutual Aid Capitalism”

On May 27, three students from the University of Osaka participated in the “4th Multi-Sector Dialogue on Mutual Aid Capitalism” held at the Ito International Research Center of the University of Tokyo (hosted by the Japan Association of Corporate Executives and the Committee for the Realization of Mutual Aid Capitalism).

This dialogue has been held as a forum where stakeholders from diverse sectors such as corporations, NPOs, impact startups, and universities converge to explore concrete actions toward resolving social issues through dialogue that transcends generations and circumstances.

This 4th session was attended by approximately 150 students from participant universities of the “University Alliance for the Realization of Mutual Aid Capitalism” (launched in February 2025), in which the University of Osaka also participated as a member. Participants were divided into five groups and engaged in lively discussions on the following themes: refugees and conflict issues, regional revitalization, child and youth poverty, food and agriculture, and recovery from disaster, with a view to solving social issues. Students from the University of Osaka who participated shared their impressions, commenting that it was inspiring and they would like to take part again.

The University of Osaka will continue to work toward solving increasingly complex and sophisticated social issues through dialogue and collaboration with various stakeholders.
