The University of Osaka Selected as Finalist for Japan DX Grand Prix 2025

The University of Osaka has been selected as a finalist in the Administrative Innovation Category of the Japan DX Grand Prix 2025 DX Contest.

On May 22, the Japan DX Grand Prix 2025 announced 24 finalists after a written review of a record 158 applications. The contest is divided into six categories, including the “Administrative Innovation Category” and “Business Innovation Category,” and the University of Osaka was selected as a finalist in the “Administrative Innovation Category.”

The University of Osaka is promoting DX in education, research, and management based on its medium-term plan, and this time we entered the contest with the title “OUDX: Becoming a New Japanese University through University-wide DX.” Specific initiatives include building a university-wide common ID and human resources data platform, developing on- and off-campus services utilizing facial recognition and digital student ID cards, and administrative innovations through the introduction of generative AI and implementing RPA for all staff members. The University of Osaka plans to provide the systems it has developed to other universities, with the aim of contributing to bolstering the international competitiveness of Japanese universities.

The award ceremony for the Administrative Innovation Category will be held on July 17, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the “Japan DX Grand Prix 2025 Summit & Awards.” We invite you to join us to view the ceremony. (Pre-registration required.)
