Ceremony for the 2024-25 Science Award for Female Graduate Students Held
The University of Osaka established the Science Award for Female Graduate Students in 2019-2020 in order to recognize superior performances by female graduate students in scientific fields in the hopes of motivating these outstanding female students who wish to advance to doctoral programs to become researchers.
On April 23, 2025, the award ceremony for the 2024-2025 Science Award for Female Graduate Students was held at the university’s Convention Center, where 24 of the 25 female graduate student awardees were presented with award certificates and supplementary prizes, receiving words of congratulations from President KUMANOGOH Atsushi.
Next, Yuri Morizane of the Graduate School of Engineering gave a speech on behalf of the award winners. She expressed her joy and gratitude for the recognition of her research achievements and stated her determination to further pursue her research activities.
Finally, Professor Emeritus TOYODA Masao (former Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering), who was committed to the establishment of this award, congratulated the recipients, expressing his expectations for their continued success.
