Award ceremonies held for the Distinguished Professor title and President's Special Prize

The title of UOsaka Distinguished Professor was awarded to Professor MIYAJI Atsuko (Graduate School of Engineering) and Professor INOUE Daichi (Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences). In addition, Associate Professor FUJITA Kento (Graduate School of Science), a recipient of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Prize in the 2024-25 academic year, and Professor KOGA Hirotaka (SANKEN, The Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research) were presented with the President’s Special Prize.

This title is awarded to UOsaka professors and previous holders of the title of UOsaka Distinguished Professor who have received prestigious awards and served a pioneering role in the promotion of education, research, and social contribution at the university.

On Wednesday, March 26, the award ceremony for the title of UOsaka Distinguished Professor was held in the President's Office on the university’s Suita Campus, where the title winnerss were given a commemorative plaque from the president. The award ceremony for the President’s Special Prize was also held on the same day.
