OSIPP 30th Commemorative Meeting held

This year marked the 30th anniversary of the founding of Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP), established on June 24, 1994. To celebrate, the OSIPP 30th Commemorative Ceremony Committee held a commemorative symposium, ceremony, and celebration party on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Osaka University’s Nakanoshima Center.

The attendees included OU-related people such as President NISHIO Shojiro and executives, as well as OSIPP-related people such as current and former faculty, stuff, and students.

First, a commemorative symposium “The Mission of Graduate Schools Engaged in Global Development in the Post COVID Era” was held, followed by an active discussion.

During the commemorative ceremony and celebration party, after looking back the 30-year history of OSIPP, President OTA Hiroko of the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) and other representatives from various fields delivered congratulatory addresses and offered valuable advice for OSIPP to step up its activity as it heads toward the future, closing the celebration on a high note.

OSIPP is working on solutions to social issues facing modern society in Japan and international society by integrating academic and practical knowledge in law, political science, and economics. OSIPP will continue to cultivate globally active public policy professionals who can conduct systematic analysis and assessment with a sense of realness.
