2024 Osaka University Thank YOU Gathering held

Osaka University held a Thank YOU Gathering at Hotel Hankyu International on Thursday, November 27 to show its appreciation to donors who had made major contributions to Osaka University Future Funds. Over 160 individuals were in attendance at the gathering's two sessions: a report session and a social hour.

In the report session, President NISHIO Shojiro provided a brief update on events at the university and Executive Vice President KANEDA Yasufumi introduced activity by the Foundation for the Future.

Next, two groups (School of Foreign Studies and School of Pharmaceutical Sciences) selected for the Undergraduate Research Support Project (General Purpose Fund) sponsored by the Foundation for the Future made presentations.

Then, Professor SAKATA Yasushi (Graduate School of Medicine) spoke about the crowdfunding for conducting research on oral anticoagulant therapy tailored to each atrial fibrillation patient’s needs. In addition, Distinguished Professor Hiroshi ISHIGURO at the Graduate School of Engineering Science delivered a lecture "Avatars and the Future Society."

In the following social hour, listening to the performance from the Osaka University Symphony Orchestra, participants exchanged opinions to strengthen bonds between donors and the university.
