The 63rd Seven Universities Meet (2024) has come to a close
The 63rd Seven Universities Meet ended with the closing ceremony held at Nagoya University on September 21.
In attendance at the ceremony were the Chairman of the Osaka University Sports Union (OUSU) and the executive of the next Liaison Department of OUSU. Reflecting on OU’s performances, OUSU Chairman KUROSE Takanori spoke about resolutions for the next year:
“This year ended with a very disappointing result of 6th place. A big congratulations to Hokkaido University for defeating Nagoya University, the host university of this year's meet. It’s our turn next year. And, a big thank you to all of the OU athletes who gave it their all at the meet. We’ll get our overall championship next year!"

One club that put on a particularly outstanding performance was the Gymnastics Club, which won the gymnastics competition held from September 2~4 at the Yokkaichi General Gymnasium. The captain of the Gymnastics Club made the following remarks:
"Last year, we just barely lost to the University of Tokyo, finishing in 2nd place. Driven by regret, we pushed ourselves harder. This success is the sum of those efforts. Many thanks to everyone for their support. We hope you’ll continue to cheer on the Osaka University Gymnastics Club!"
