Minister of Reconstruction TSUCHIYA Shinako visits the University of Osaka Fukushima Center

Minster TSUCHIYA Shinako (Reconstruction Agency), SAKURAMACHI Michio (Director General, Reconstruction Agency), SHIDA Fumitaka (Director, Fukushima Regional Bureau of Reconstruction), and SASAKI Taro (Executive Secretary to the Minister of Reconstruction) visited The University of Osaka Fukushima Center on September 4, 2024.

After listening from Director NAKANO Takashi of the Research Center for Nuclear Physics (RCNP) about the Hamadohri Environmental Radiation School project, which began in 2016 through collaboration with local municipalities in Fukushima Prefecture, the visitors had lively discussions about further promotion of human resource development using the Fukushima Center, based on the efforts in the project and the increased number of participants.

Minister Tsuchiya expressed her gratitude for the many years of the Hamadohri Environmental Radiation School by UOsaka and its collaborative efforts with local municipalities and showed her expectation that the center would continue to develop activities and deepen collaboration with the region.
