Osaka University Competitive Programming Circle "RAINBOU" to Compete at ICPC World Finals 2024!
kotamanegi_marunage, a student group in the Osaka University Competitive Programming Circle "RAINBOU", will compete at the 48th Annual World Finals of the ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) to be held from September 15~20, 2024.
ICPC is an international competitive programming contest hosted by the ICPC Foundation. Teams of three representing their university compete for programing and problem-solving skills. Each year, more than 50,000 students compete in this world programming competition.
The team kotamanegi_marunage got through the qualifying rounds:14th of 291 teams in Japan (July 2023), 4th of 58 teams in Asia Yokohama (November 2023), and 19th of 65 teams in Asia Pacific Championship (March 2024), getting the ticket to the World Finals.
A team from OU will be sent to the world finals, which is the greatest achievements in 7 years since 2016. The finals will be held in Kazakhstan in September 2024.
