Award ceremonies held for the Distinguished Professor title and President's Special Prize
Osaka University has awarded the title of Osaka University Distinguished Professor to the following professors:
- YAMASHITA Takuro (Osaka School of International Public Policy)
- NISHIMOTO Shinji (Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences)
In addition, the President’s Special Prize was awarded to the following recipients of the 2023 JSPS Prize:
- MAEKAWA Takuya (Associate Professor, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology)
- FUKAYA Hidenori (Assistant Professor, Graduate School of Science)
- ONODA Fuko (Specially Appointed Assistant Professor, Graduate School of Humanities)
The award ceremonies for the title of Distinguished Professor and the President’s Special Prize were held in the president’s office on the Suita Campus on Thursday, March 28, 2024. The title recipients and award winners received commemorative plaques from President Nishio.
Osaka University Distinguished Professor
The title of Osaka University Distinguished Professor is awarded to Osaka University professors and those who have previously held the title of Osaka University Distinguished Professor, especially those who played a leading role in the university’s education, research, and social contribution, including those who received prestigious awards.
