Signage for The University of Osaka at the new Minoh-semba handai-mae Station

Signage for The University of Osaka was installed near the down escalator inside Minoh-semba handai-mae Station, a brand-new station which opened on the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Line on Saturday, March 23, 2024. The station is located a 3-minute walk from The University of Osaka’s Minoh Campus.

The Research and Education Hub on the campus, combined with the blue background (the university's school color), expresses the ambition of the university aiming to spread its wings to the world stage.

In addition, the Research and Education Hub, Global Village, and International Studies Library are also rendered on the station's platform screen doors, which were provided by the Osaka Semba Fashion Co-Operative Association.

Thanks to the opening of the new Minoh-semba handai-mae Station, individuals can now visit the Minoh Campus from areas in downtown Osaka, such as Shin Osaka, Umeda, and Namba without the need to change trains. The Minoh Campus is only a 20-minute train ride from Shin-Osaka Station or Osaka International Airport.

The Minoh Campus, as an Osaka University Global Campus (OUGC), will fulfill its mission of connecting local communities with the world through area studies and languages.
