Results of Research Misconduct Investigation

In response to allegations of research misconduct involving researchers from Osaka University and Ritsumeikan University, a panel for the investigation was established at Ritusmeikan University under an agreement between the two universities. OU cooperated with the investigation.

Based on the investigation results by Ritsumeikan University, Osaka University’s Research Integrity Committee has concluded that an OU faculty member was involved in research misconduct (falsification).

We deeply regret this incident and apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.

The university takes this incident very seriously and will work to raise awareness of faculty members and graduate students about the importance of compliance and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
