MEXT Minister MORIYAMA Masahito meets with President Nishio

On Friday, February 16, Minister MORIYAMA Masahito of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) met with Osaka University President NISHIO Shojiro.

After listening to the future vision and current activities of the university from President Nishio, Minister Moriyama, together with Mr. TOYOOKA Hiroki (Assistant Minister for Policy Coordination, Minister’s Secretariat), Mr. IKEDA Takakuni (Director General of the Higher Education Bureau), and Mr. KAKITA Yasuyoshi (Director General of the Science and Technology Policy Bureau) from MEXT, talked with President Nishio, Executive Vice President TANAKA Toshihiro, and Executive Vice President KANEDA Yasufumi from Osaka University, exchanging opinions about the development of doctoral human resources. The discussion ended with words of encouragement from Minister Moriyama.
