OU wins grant from "Flying Next Generation" Support Donation Program by Daiichi Sankyo Company Ltd.

Recently, Osaka University was selected as a grant recipient for the program for supporting early-career researchers, "Flying Next Generation" Support Donation Program funded by Daiichi Sankyo Company Ltd.

This is a grant-in-aid to research management organizations at universities and research institutes that support early-career researchers for the purpose of developing basic research, a source of innovation.

Since this is a new form of grant program, for which not researchers but research management organizations can apply, Osaka University’s Office of Management and Planning (a university research administration (URA) organization) and the Department of Research Promotion (an administrative organization) jointly applied.

For many years, Osaka University has focused on support for early-career researchers. In this program, we will promote this new style of research, one in which early-career researchers, URA, and administrative organizations work together on new research projects with the purpose of developing a source of innovation through networking among early-career researchers and interdisciplinary research.

Winning this grant motivates and encourages us to provide further support to early-career researchers.
