Osaka University receives Minoh Mayor’s Award for receiving the ISCN Excellence Award!
Osaka University won the 2023 ISCN Excellence Award in May for its Minoh Campus Relocation Project. For this achievement, as a contribution to the City of Minoh, the university received a certificate commendation from City Mayor UESHIMA Kazuhiko on October 17, 2023.
President NISHIO Shojiro and Associate Professor IKEUCHI Yoshiaki and Associate Professor SUZUKI Toshihiro from the Campus Sustainability Office attended the award ceremony, where the three had a lively discussion with Mayor Ueshima on topics such as the extension of Kita-Osaka Kyuko Railway planned to open on March 23, 2024, as well as ways to further revitalize the Minoh Semba area.
Osaka University will continue to collaborate with the region and work to make the Minoh Semba area a place of learning and exchange.
