2023 Future Creative Invention Encouragement Award Winner Announced

Professor YAMAUCHI Kazuto and his team at Osaka University’s Graduate School of Engineering won the Future Creative Invention Encouragement Award at the 2023 National Invention Awards for "the development of a metrology for the fabrication of an ultraprecisely-figured mirror for nano focusing hard-x-rays."

The Future Creative Invention Encouragement Award is awarded to outstanding inventions by small and medium-sized enterprises, business ventures, universities, and public research institutes that have or are expected to have significant impact on the creation of a future society through their implementation.

In association with this award, Osaka University, RIKEN, and SPring-8 received the “Future Creative Invention Contribution Award.” For Osaka University, this marks its fifth Contribution Award in a row.
